Think about it and then get back for several more hours later. I loved the fact that I could watch an hour and take a paus. Not all great musicians are doing interviews this good! Without their instruments and songs they are quite boring individuals, but not Petty! Brilliant songwriter, singer and also has the gift of being very entertaining and a gifted speaker. Tom Petty seems to be a very down-to-earth kind of guy. I am now really curious to "dig deeper" into his back catalogue. This documentary definitely made me wanna go out and buy more of Tom Petty's music. The music by Mudcrutch was also very good. The songs! He has written so many great songs! The level of quality is astonishing. This might even be one of the best ones I have ever seen! Brilliant! This is, in my opinion, how a documentary should be. First let me say that I was only aware of some of his hits and never heard much of his "pre-MTV" music.
